Joseph Alsop, Technology Executive, Joins AppZero’s Board of Directors

Server application virtualization pioneer, AppZero, on Tuesday announced that Joseph Alsop, co-founder and former CEO of Progress Software Corporation, was elected to AppZero's board of directors.

"Joseph Alsop is a technical visionary and an accomplished business leader, with a track record that maps well to both the current and growth needs of AppZero," said Greg O'Connor, AppZero's CEO. "The fact that we've established a strong working relationship over the years means that Joe will be able to make immediate contributions to AppZero's market gains.  I am very pleased to resume our partnership on this winning trajectory."

Joseph Alsop has more than 30 years of experience in technology.  As CEO and co-founder of Progress Software Corporation (Nasdaq: PRGS), a supplier of e-business application development, deployment, integration and management products, he led Progress Software Corporation to a position as a recognized global software industry leader with over $500 million in annual revenue.  He graduated from MIT in 1967 with a BSEE degree and is currently investing in and working with companies in Massachusetts, applying information technology in various areas.
