AppZero for Windows Server
AppZero strips complexity from deploying, configuring, and updating Windows server applications. It separates the application from the hardware (physical machine and OS/ or VM) so that server application images can be deployed independently of the machines on which they run.
Windows server applications can be configured into an AppZero VAA using any tool of choice. Once configured using familiar tools, the VAA is ready to be deployed. Windows server applications arrive on the target machine - on premises or in any cloud - ready to run, with no installation.
Because AppZero captures any changes the application makes, containing them in the VAA, Windows server applications can be "picked up" intact and moved to another machine. Once again, it arrives ready to run with the then current configuration state. The result is a seamlessly portable Windows server application image.
AppZero's patented technology is the only vehicle for moving Windows server application images -- OS-free -- across datacenters to, and from, any clouds.
Hypervisor agnostic, AppZero works with ESX, Hyper-V, and Xen - and is equally at home on physical machines and in the cloud(s). Additionally, VAAs and the Windows applications they contain are easily managed by the eco-system of Microsoft management solutions, making AppZero a well-behaved IT guest.
Today, AppZero is available for all releases of Windows 2003 and Windows 2008.
