AppZero Reinforces Application Mobility Mission with new CTO

Server application virtualization pioneer, AppZero, on Tuesday announced that Bill Cullen will join AppZero as Chief Technology Officer. Bringing more than 25 years of leadership and a passion for virtualization and cloud computing, Bill Cullen will drive technical direction, design and implementation for AppZero.

"Bill is a proven technology leader with the skills to advance AppZero's leading position in the virtualization space," said Greg O'Connor, AppZero CEO. "We look forward to tapping his technical innovation as more and more enterprises require fast and easy ways to move applications to the cloud without any modification... and without being locked in."

"It is clear to see the opportunity available to AppZero as virtualization and all things cloud are here to stay," said Cullen. "AppZero gives IT the ability to rapidly deploy new and existing applications to the cloud and end the configuration and installation overhead that has consumed far too many resources over the years.  I'm looking forward to being a part of the team that is creating a new approach to application mobility and offers customers the flexibility to run their system where and when they want."

Prior to joining AppZero, Cullen led the Products and Engineering teams at Sonic Software Corporation where he conceived and drove the development of SonicESB, the first Enterprise Service Bus. Additionally, he developed SonicMQ, a distributed message broker technology in which he received two patents. Before his appointment at Sonic, Cullen held key engineering and executive roles at OneWave, Inc., IRI Software (now part of Oracle Corporation), Softbridge Microsystems, and Advantage Systems.
