AppZero for Linux Server
AppZero separates Linux server application from the hardware on which they run (physical machine and OS/ or VM). This separation means that server application images can be deployed, configured, and updated independently using tools that are already in use in each organization. The application is installed once into an AppZero VAA and is then available to move to any Linux machine, anywhere.
AppZero's Linux server virtualization provides Linux applications with a configurable spectrum of isolation. However, our clients tend to elect complete isolation of their application instances in order to maximize application/OS density. Fewer boxes to manage saves time and opportunity for error, in addition to real money.
Hypervisor agnostic, AppZero works with ESX, Hyper-V, and Xen - and is equally at home on physical machines and in the cloud(s). Because AppZero captures any changes the application makes, containing them in the AppZero VAA, Linux server applications can be "picked up" intact and moved to another machine. It arrives ready to run with the then current configuration state. The result is a seamlessly portable Linux server application image.
